Smaller and lighter

High energy density

Li-ion batteries have higher energy density than other rechargeable batteries. This means having high power capacity without being bulky.

Low self-discharge

Li-ion batteries have low self-discharge rate. This means that the battery has a longer shelf life when not in used because it discharges slowly than other rechargeable batteries.

Low memory effect

Li-ion batteries have minimal memory effect. Memory effect is a phenomenon observed in rechargeable batteries in which the batteries lose their maximum energy capacity when repeated recharged after being only partially discharged.

Quick charging

Li-ion batteries are quicker to charge as compared to other rechargeable batteries.

Longer lifespan

Li-ion batteries can typically handle hundreds of charge-discharge cycles. Some lithium ion batteries lose only 20 percent of their capacity after 1000 cycles.

Environment Friendly

Li-ion batteries are consider much more environment friendly, as compared to Lead acid battery.

Maintenance Free

Flooded lead acid batteries must be periodically topped off with distilled water, whereas Li-ion batteries are 100% Maintenance Free.
